WEEK COMMENCING 8TH JUNE 2015

GENERAL

I have been rather quiet since the start of May but I think it best to be that way if I have nothing to say!! I am currently at Albatros returning on 1st July.... lucky me. The weather is beautiful and there are more people around the complex and in the town.

MEETING

The AGM is on FRIDAY 26th JUNE at 10:00am.  
The package is with Benito, our administrator, who is adding further information to it before it is translated. After I have rechecked it, it will be emailed to all owners.

We had a good response this year to requests for Committee Members and there are 4 nominations for NEW members, including a Spanish Owner for the first time.

If you are unable to attend the Meeting and wish to make a comment, please let me know and I will do my best to include it for you.

After the meeting we normally go for a coffee at Tomas near the fereteria and all are welcome to join us. Please introduce yourself and chat away.

SUMMER

I came across this the other day, tweaked it a little, and thought how well it gets the point across about behaviour. Those who rent out their property (and should be sending copies of our Rules to their renters) may consider including this in their advertising:

Please remember at all times that Albatros is a
RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITY and COMMUNITY RULES APPLY........... to ALL.
If you think that the observance of some basic pool and behaviour guidelines might pose a difficulty for you, please ensure you read them carefully before booking.


POOL GUARD


The Pool Guard will be on duty from 24th June to 6th September, 12:00 to 21:00. As always the Committee expects Owners and renters alike to treat this person with respect. The Pool guard is their primarily for everyone's safety.

MAINTENANCE


I am disappointed that the maintenance work did not start before the summer but it is important that the contract is correct before work starts. There were one or two points that required clarification which always takes time to sort and we are trying to negotiate a smaller fee to be paid up front. Work should start at the beginning/middle of September which is probably the best time after the Summer rush is over and there are fewer properties occupied. Letters will be sent with full details when they are known.


You may recall that the walls on a small test area on the apartment roof were cleaned, the join in the capping ground out and re-sealed, and the walls painted with the Community Paint. I am pleased to say that no new staining has appeared and it remains a good job.
