WEEK COMMENCING 21ST SEPTEMBER

SUMMER 2015

After a disappointing start things settled down.  Temperatures were even higher than usual as was the humidity so the pool and surrounding areas were very popular.

The original pool guards were changed and we had the services of guards who were at Albatros last year and had experience of some of the issues which we have every year.  In the main the poolguards were respected by the pool users but as usual there were a few who were unruly and bad mannered.

The night guard made a tremendous difference to the complex, his presence being sufficient to deter most inconsiderate behaviour.

The Committee will be undertaking a review of the summer arrangements shortly so that lessons can be learned and changes made for next year if necessary.

COMMUNITY MAINTENANCE

The contract with Decoman was finally signed at the end of August ready for work to start mid September.  A test area on a balcony with cracks has been repaired and painted; a garden wall treated for monitoring; and the work to repair the walls on the lift and stairwells in the underground garage has started.

We are currently waiting for the schedule of work to be produced by Decoman so that owners will know when their property will be treated.

COCKROACH AND VERMIN TREATMENT

The second treatment this year will take place on 24th September.

SMALL POOL

The small pool was closed on several occasions during the summer due to low chlorine and/or PH levels in the late afternoon.  Pisciblue have suggested that we have an automatic dispenser fitted similar to that in the large pool and this will be done over the winter.
