Please be aware

Not a pleasant subject to be writing about but I wanted to make you aware that there have been several break-ins on nearby complexes recently, particularly on El Divino.  I have not received reports of any on Albatros.  The police have arrested 4 people, I hear, so hopefully these incidents will be at an end.

In order to decrease the risks on Albatros,  we must ensure that our gates are not left open and it is in each individual Owner's interest not to leave entrance doors to their properties open and unattended.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THE PEDESTRIAN GATES CLOSE BEHIND YOU

Can I also ask that if you see at someone has failed to do this would YOU please close the gate.

PLEASE TAKE CARE

There have also been incidents of mugging in the streets near Albatros.  I am sorry to say that it has happened to an Owner who had a necklace pulled off.  Incidents have occurred in Isla Tabarca as well as in the back roads near the field.

Hopefully the people doing these things will either be caught or move on and leave the town .

METER READING SCAM

Some Owners have had calls from people saying they are from Iberdrola (they usually work in twos or threes) and need access to the property regarding meter readings or to check for electrical faults.  If  the real Iberdrola needed to enter your property they would write to you to make an appointment beforehand.

If you believe this scam and let these opportunist thieves into your property they will steal from you.  Another story they use is to ask for a drink of water and while you go to get it .............I don't need to say more.
