GARAGE

  • Each and every garage space belongs to an apartment Owner and CANNOT be owned by anyone else

  • The garage door is activated in one of 3 ways   
         a)  Zapper - requires correct code and battery to activate              opening electronically
         b)  Plastic magnetic key - used in grey key readers inside                and outside to open electronically 
         c)  Metal Yale type key - used in keyhole in the garage                  door to open the door by hand


  • When the door is activated electrically, the Zapper or the Plastic key must be used
  • There are times when the electricity supply is unexpectedly interrupted and IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU HAVE THE METAL YALE TYPE KEY KEY (WHICH I WILL CALL THE OVERRIDE KEY) TO BE ABLE TO OVERRIDE THE ELECTRICS AND EXIT THE GARAGE
  • The OVERRIDE KEY was issued by Taray at the time of purchase to apartment owners with garage spaces.
  • When you have used the OVERRIDE KEY you are expected to CLOSE THE DOOR using the fitted handle after you have exited.
  • If you have a car in the garage it is your responsibility to ensure that you have an OVERRIDE KEY and not to depend on someone else to let you out.
  • If you are renting a space  and you don't have an OVERRIDE KEY, you should contact the Owner of the space.
Garage Cleaning
  • The plan is for the garage to be thoroughly cleaned twice a year by the ladies from the same company who clean the apartment corridors once a week (twice in July and August)
  • The first clean was done at the end of June
  • This thorough clean includes the floor, walls, pipes, door, extinguishers and the outside ramp area.
  • Please ensure that no LITTER or RUBBISH destined for the street bins is left in the garage for others to clear away.
Future Plans being considered
  • Painting the corridor area where the lifts are accessed which has become rather grubby
  • Changing the light switches so that it is possible to turn on the lights in this corridor without activating all the fluorescent tubes in the garage
  • Labelling each space with its associated apartment number
