POOL CLOSURE

Periodically swimming pools need to be emptied, maintenance tasks carried out and then refilled.   At Albatros this is planned every 5 years.  Such tasks include replacement of missing tiles and general re-grouting.  It is an ideal time for the steps can be secured and the grilles around the edge checked and replaced if necessary.  The apron can be checked for small repairs and then repainted. During this winter 2014/15 the pool will be closed for this to happen.  As soon as I know the dates and for how long it will be closed, I will let you know. Early days - being built

HAVE YOU REGISTERED YOUR VEHICLE TO PARK IN THE OUTSIDE CAR PARK?

The Committee needs to know if you park your car in the  OUTSIDE car park to avoid misunderstandings.  The details listed at 1:2:3: below are those required please.   Details can be put in either of the Committee Suggestion Boxes (in Apartment Hallway or in the Car Park by the large satellite dish) or emailed to albatroscommittee@btinternet.com ALBATROS STATUTES ARTICLE 11 Any car parked within the Community whilst the Owner is not resident is obliged to give registration details of the car a contact telephone number and the details of the key holder  to a member of the Committee in writing (including email) for use in the case of an emergency. No vehicles other than those belonging to an Owner or a renter are allowed to be parked in communal area. The Committee has authority to have unauthorised vehicles clamped or towed away. GARAGE

Each and every garage space belongs to an apartment Owner and CANNOT be owned by anyone else The garage door is activated in one of 3 ways             a)  Zapper - requires correct code and battery to activate              opening electronically          b)  Plastic magnetic key - used in grey key readers inside                and outside  t o open electronically            c)  Metal Yale type key - used in keyhole in the garage                  door to open the door  by hand When the door is activated electrically, the Zapper or the Plastic key must be used There are times when the electricity supply is unexpectedly interrupted and IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU HAVE THE METAL YALE TYPE KEY KEY (WHICH I WILL CALL THE OVERRIDE KEY) TO BE ABLE TO OVERRIDE THE ELECTRICS AND EXIT THE GARAGE The OVERRIDE KEY was issued by Taray at the time of purchase to apartment owners with garage spaces. REPORT ON SUMMER 2014

Summer 2014 The Pool The pool has performed well during the Summer and the water quality has been stable thanks to the hard work of Pisciblue and the effectiveness of the systems that we had installed. The appearance of the pool remains at a high standard Well done Pisciblue  After a shaky start with our pool guards and their lack of English, the summer seems to have gone very well with Gines attending the majority of the time.  I haven't received complaints about the way in which the duties were carried out and several  Owners commented on how well he worked. The pool is due its 5 yearly service and will be emptied for maintenance during the coming winter months.  I will post dates and details as soon as I have them. Plenty of people are still swimming in the pool this week and I have been in most days but notice the temperature is dropping a little each day. The lights IN the pool are back on now between 20:00 and 22:00 when the pool closes.  They are
